2014 Oil on canvas over panel 36 x 54 inches

The painting started with a photo of two bald men in suits standing on the shore of a lake; painted in saturated teals, limes and lavenders. They stand in obvious contradiction with the scenery around them, are they sentinels or invaders, protectors or destroyers?

The surface resembles watercolour on paper except its not under glass! Delicious: matte is the new gloss.
